Fall Colors in the Blue Ridge Mountains
Natalie Hesed
Leaf season is here again! And we think it is one of the most vibrant displays we have seen. Much of September and October our region was without rain, and many people in the area said that the leaves would just turn brown and crumble off, BUT these photos will prove otherwise! I took these photos while out hiking on October 28th this year.
Want to plan your own trip around leaf season? The best time to come is between October 15th and November 1st. Because leaves mature differently at different altitudes, you can easily travel up or down in elevation by car to catch a beautiful show anytime in that range! This hike was at about 3000 ft.
